Brian May is not just the greatest rock and roll guitarist to ever live, he has also used his fame to bring people's attention to causes that are very important to him. Here in the States, we don't cull badgers, but there are farmers in England that feel they are infecting their cattle with TB. A "culling" is when an animal is hunted in a certain area, due to a public danger. May has always been a defender of animal rights, and this has become a crusade for him in recent years. I found a great article that explains his views on what he views as "cruel and unnecessary" hunting of badgers. He is also against fox hunting as well, which is still quite popular in Europe:

Keep Calm, everybody!
Today I finally did something to my condo I have always wanted to do since I bought it. Well, actually, two things.... one, replace the drafty windows including the one in my spare room that was about to fallout of the frame. 10/14/14- Done and off the list. Next, replace the ratty rug in my living room. I had the estimate done today, and I decided to go with a laminate floor. I am going to have the floor redone in my kitchen as well, so one large floor covering the kitchen and living room. Yes, there goes my tax return, but it needed to be done, so I needed Brian May's music to soothe my nerves and confirm...yes, it's worth the expense. :) Better then any pill, I promise!

The best place to get your own Brian May Guitar
As everyone that knows me knows, I am a huge Brian May fan. I mean, I like Queen, but out of all the guitarists I have ever seen perform, I can always tell when Brian May is playing. It all started on a ride home in 1977 from my cousin's house in Connecticut....
Every Easter, my family goes to visit my Aunt Sue, and my brother and I get to hang out with my cousin Perry (who was a HUGE Kiss fan). We had just left their house and was on the interstate highway to come back to Maine, and my Dad turns on the radio. He's a big country music fan, but the radio happened to be tuned to a local rock station, and I heard the guitar solo come on for "Killer Queen", and I had never heard that kind of sound before...using a tremolo, and hard chords, and it completely changed my world. My Dad went to turn to another station and I screamed (louder then I intended) "NO!" and my Dad stopped, looked at me in the read view mirror, and he said something like "yeah, alright...." and he let me hear the rest of the song. When it was finished, he changed it to another station, but the damage was done! :) A Queen fan had been born!
...and Queen is still on the road, even in 2015!
I just saw them last November in Boston, and he sounds as great as ever...
